Please Provide a Job Description Job Title: XR Power System Engineer
Location: Hyderabad
General Summary: Qualcomm is looking for an experienced XR Power System Engineer who is passionate about solving power challenges and developing innovative solutions for optimizing power for next-generation Snapdragon chipsets across various platforms, including application processors, modems, automotive, AR/XR, compute, and machine learning. The engineer will work with cross-functional engineering teams to optimize and analyze power and develop innovative solutions to optimize hardware and software, enhancing SoC and chipset performance to achieve world-class low power consumption.
Responsibilities:
• Post-silicon power measurement correlation and power model calibration.
• Conducting detailed power analysis and optimization at the silicon level.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate and improve power-saving features in silicon.
• Participating in silicon bring-up and debugging power-related issues.
• Analyzing power data from silicon to identify areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
• Working closely with hardware and software teams to ensure power efficiency in the final product.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• A Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or an equivalent field is required as a minimum.
• Experience working with power analysis, optimization.
• Knowledge of hardware and software factors affecting SoC power (e.g., power impact from use cases, architectures, power-saving features, firmware/software algorithms, operating frequency, and voltage modes).
• Knowledge of memory system concepts like DRAM controllers, cache controllers, and interconnects.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Exposure to high-performance, low-power micro-architecture concepts.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a multi-disciplinary group.
